Doing Attachment Based Work with Self and in Sessions Part 3: How to Discern Needs and Guide Change in Others

A talk by Jim Harlow
Natural Lifemanship, Natural Lifemanship

For participants who get to this point in the process and have done work on their own, this step is relatively straightforward. Having begun the work of seeing this need-response cycle and having begun to push through your own fears and insecurities, you will have experience in knowing what to look for and how to help your clients. Your horses and their responses will also help you see better the subtle tricks that we humans play in this area of exposure of needs. This section will incorporate videos of session work with both practitioners and clients to show some examples of how these patterns show themselves in session work.

Objectives: -Participants will be exposed to a rich variety of others’ stories of change that will enhance their ability to see patterns of connection more clearly. -Participants will begin to expand their personal understanding into more knowledgeable interpretations of others’ experiences.
-Participants will learn to discern the significant aspects of attunement and responsiveness in videos of others working with horses.
